MAX TURNS 1!

Max turned 1 on Saturday the 13th and we decided since he LOVES Mickey Mouse that we'd have a Mickey Mouse party...and since we knew having a party in Feb would mean cold weather we found this blow up jump o lene for the kids to play in and it was a big hit. Not only did we have cold weather...we had a couple of inches of snow fall the day before...but luckily it melt in time for the party and almost everyone got to come! This was Max and Trey playing the morning of the party.

One of Max's gifts was the 4wheeler from us and mimaw and papaw...Trey sort of took it over but he did let Max ride on the back while he drove!

Then all the kids wanted a toy to ride so we pulled everything we owned out of the garage! Our house became a race track! LOL

Rainy and cold weekends!

The last 2 weekends have been kind of cold and rainy so we hit the Chattanooga Aquarium one weekend and the new Telus musuem the next weekend.

Milestones!

Max: We are getting close to his 1 yr b-day and he is literally growing up soo fast. I feel like we are seeing new things all the time with both of the kids. Max is now officially off of formual and taking whole milk. LOVES IT. He recently started to insist on feeding himself by hand....would not let me feed him anything by a spoon. So far he is a little bit pickier than Trey...he is still not fond of green food but will eat it...just make funny faces the whole time. He is so close to walking....and he gets so mad because he wants to run around and keep up with Trey.

Trey: Well Trey's 2010 new years resolution was to give up the pacifier and he quit cold turkey on New Years Day! I was so proud! Then out of no where he goes to the potty with the lure of candy. Since Jan 5th he consistently goes to the potty a couple of times a day and consistently has a couple of accidents so I guess that is normal and we are heading down a good road. Trey really starting talking soo much more in the last few months...we were worried for a while. But he now asked questions all the time and is soo curious about EVERYTHING. He loves to talk in his deep voice when he sees things like "big trucks" and "dinosaurs" and anything remotely manly.

It's Potty Time!

Tuesday Jan. 5th 2010-
Trey decides to poop and pee in his potty today! WOOHOO. I was planning to start potty training in Feb and on this particular day I noticed that he was going into the closet to hide and do his business as always...and I thought what the heck....let's tell Trey that if he went to the potty and did his business that I'd give him some candy. Boy does candy work miracles! He went straight to his potty...told me to close the door...basically to leave him alone. 3-4 minutes later he yells for me....and to my surprise he did it!

He has pooped 1 other time in his potty but we are having a few hiccups with peeing...but we are only on day 3 so I am VERY PROUD OF HIM! Today was our first day at school wearing pulling ups so I am curious to see how this goes.
